Hello,

I know Ross mentions the basic science being either 4 or 5 semesters. Is this really an "option" or do they make everyone do 5 semesters for $$?

Hello,

I am a student at Ross University SOM and currently took my final attempt on the COMP. I don't feel too good about it. I thought it was convoluted and tricky. In the event I have to appeal, what do you think my chances are? My two COMP scores were 57 and 67. Our passing score is 68 now. So any advice would be great. I'm pretty worried. Thanks.

I am currently enrolled in a MPH in environmental health and my GPA is 3.7 I will take the mcat on July. What chances do you guys and girls think I may have?

Yearly check up/ immunizations

I know the school ask for all these immunizations prior to arriving to the school. But do they need any yearly immunizations, or yearly check up with PCP? I am creating my insurance policy and I am trying to figure out if I get a physical before, if I need to get another one after I complete a year at ROSS.

Thanks in advance!
(I am waiving the schools insurance and getting my own)

Ross May vs September Start

I've been accepted to the may starting class and was wondering if anyone knew of any advantage of starting in may vs september? Is it true that the minimum passing score for the may class is lower than septembers, thus easier to pass a class if you are on the border?
Is it easier to get your preferred rotations site if you start in may as well? Just looking for any pros/cons to starting in each semester, thanks!

Role of Interview in Admissions Decision?

What role does the interview play in the admissions decision? Does the interviewer recommend MERP, acceptance, or denial to the admissions committee or does the admissions committee decide that by themselves?

Failed comp

Hi,
So I recently wrote comp a third time getting a 59. I didn't get the minimum 62 required for a fourth attempt. I was wondering if anyone has been through this or know someone who has successfully appealed for a 4th attempt? I know what I have to do to get at least a passing score the 4th time.

Have started watching DIT, pathoma.

Or would it be better to transfer credits to a university like Windsor? And does anybody know the additional hindrance Ross dismissal would cause in my already low chance of getting residency?

To whom it may concern,

I don't know if this will be helpful or if anyone will be interested, but I'd thought I'd put this out there. I remember feeling anxious, uncertain leading up to starting at Ross. I really don't check this anymore but randomly remembered spending some time on here and thought I'd swing through in the case I might be able to offer some advice.

I probably won't be as good of a resource as far as specific questions about classes or curriculum at Ross (as a lot of it has changed), probably even some of the nuances of scheduling rotations, etc. has slipped my mind. However, I started at Ross in fall of 2009. I matched a family medicine residency back in my home state, I've passed my family medicine boards (no more tests for 10 years!), and I'm 1 week away from completing residency. If I can be of any help to anyone, feel free to ask me questions and I'll do my best to answer as I've been through it all. Feel free to PM if you'd like.

How to Pass Comp?

Hey everyone!

So I am soon going to be writing my comp exam for the second time in about a months time. Kinda stressing out. Last attempt I got a 59 and I need a 68 to pass. I thought I had studied a lot for the 1st attempt, but obviously was not enough. I was wondering if someone could give some suggestions on how to get a decent score.
I was thinking Read FA, watch SketchyMicro (+some Pharm), Pathoma, and do Uworld questions. I have the kaplan books as well, but I don't think I have enough time to review them all.
Any suggestions?

Hi everyone,

I graduated from Ross and was wondering what are they doing on the island in regards to Maria? Did they evacuate all the students there?

The weather channel said it will be a devastating hit.

Stay safe everyone.
